About EarthScen:

EarthScen started to exist several years ago when we had the need to create flight lines in one single application.
Before this tool we used several applications and tools to finish with a single WGS84 coordinated ASCII file.
This was time consuming. And when a client come up with a new revision or small adjustment, the project
had to be reviewed and all export files among the process be modified. Changing the altitude in an existing

flight plan was considering building a new flight plan. Not only building flight plans was a time-consuming job
but it also created confusing projects folders. Keeping your data central for all users and well-organized is essential. People working on revisions that they think is the last can be painful.

Call it lazy, but we didn't want to work all day... precisely, especially when it was possible in several hours.

Well... then you have time to do other things, I guess that was the main reason.

EarthScen was born, unfortunately there was no time to learn another language, so we started in
Visual Basic 6. Not knowing it will end this far.

As time comes by,  learned to write c++ and other languages, changed employer and concentrated on OpenGL
and 3d modelling. But Earthscen was a overspill of fun. So I decided to make this webpage, to keep the spirit going.
I had consider to publish a free Lite version and even thought about migration.

Concerning a free Lite version I made a simple comparing list. Unfortunately,  map support, coordinate transformation
and reference import will be removed... that's what I always liked the most, maps and importing single elements.

But if you think a Lite version will be useful or maybe you have any other suggestion mail to: contact@earthscen.com

For now, EarthScen is now one of my old projects, lets enjoy those memories and let's move on.
